AT WORK
Dan began his legal career at Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon, a national law firm with approximately 200 lawyers. In 1995, he left Wildman and became a founding member of the litigation boutique, Becker & Kaplan LLC. In February 2000, the members of Becker & Kaplan LLC merged their practices into Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C., a national law firm with approximately 600 lawyers. In January 2003, Kaplan & Greenswag LLC was founded. In 2011, Dan began practicing with Daniel S. Kaplan & Associates, P.C.
IN THE PROFESSION
Dan is an active member in the International Franchise Association, Past-Chairman of the Chicago chapter and frequently speaks and moderates at events. Dan is also an active member in the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising and has published in the ABA Franchise Law Journal. Dan is a member of the the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Member of the Loyola University-Chicago Law Journal and recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award and the Harold A. Siegan Scholarship. Graduated with honors in the top 10% of the class. Ranked 3rd in class after first year, which was achieved while working full time and raising a family.

PERSONAL INTERESTS
Dan is an avid ultramarathoner and runs trail races of 100 miles, 50 miles and marathon distances. He also has run the Boston Marathon eight times.
