Daniel Kaplan represents franchisors and distributors ranging from start-up franchisors and new franchisees to some of the largest and most innovative companies in the franchise community. 
 
Mr. Kaplan has represented franchisors, franchisees, distributors and franchise associations in over 100 different systems and has resolved hundreds of franchise disputes.  Mr. Kaplan provides assistance in all areas of franchising, including registration and disclosure, preparation of franchise documents, initial franchise reviews and dispute resolution.
 
Mr. Kaplan was a shareholder in a law firm with one of the largest franchise practice groups.  He is the former general counsel of an automotive after-market franchisor.   He is past co-chairman of the Chicago Franchise Business Network of the International Franchise Association and an active member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising and the Supplier Forum of the International Franchise Association.
